Do Vitamins Help to Stop Hair Loss?

If hair loss does not occur due to any medical problem or heredity, then it is quite a possibility that it is caused by vitamin or mineral deficiency. In order to maintain healthy biological body including hair it is very essential to take a diet rich in vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients. Consumption of vitamins like, A, B, C and E helps to prevent hair loss.

Though over the counter vitamin supplements are available in the market but one of the best ways to maintain healthy levels of vitamin in the body is through a well balanced diet. Moreover, these over the counter vitamin supplements are processed chemically and do not get absorbed into the body system completely. These supplements can also cause adverse reaction and toxicity.  So just try to get your vitamins intake from whole food. In order to prevent deficiency of Vitamin A food items like fortified milk, fish oil, eggs, orange, dark green and leafy vegetables should be taken. Some of the food items which are rich source of Vitamin B include fish, pork, soybeans, orange juice and others. Similarly food rich in Vitamin C like citrus fruits, tomatoes, potatoes and the ones rich in Vitamin E like nuts, grains and vegetable oils should be included in  your daily diet to stop hair loss.
