There are many medicines which cause temporary or permanent hair loss and this condition is known as drug induced hair loss. The type of hair loss mainly depends upon the type of drugs, its dosage and on the individual predisposition.

Drug induced hair loss is generally reversible after the interruption of the treatment. If styling and wigs are not satisfactory then combination of medication and surgery can also be used. The success ration of the surgery and medication differs from person to person. Various prescriptions are also available for treating this condition.  Moreover the person should also talk to their doctor about the offending medicine which is causing the hair loss so that an alternative medication can be used.
