Drugs like Minoxidil, and topical immunotherapy cyclosporine, irritants (anthralin or topical coal tar) have been in use with different combinations depending upon the severity can be used as a remedy. Oral corticosteroids also help in controlling hair loss but may have side effects. It is easier to treat Alopecia areata in the initial stages as hair grows with much ease when the loss is in the beginning stages. But a lot of psychological strength is necessary from the patient’s end to enjoy the fruits of this treatment. Most disorders of human body are Psycho-somatic and being mentally strong can help the patient respond to the treatment positively.
