What are the Symptoms of Scarring Alopecia?

Scarring Alopecia or cicatricial alopecia is explained as a collection of hair loss disorders. Scarring Alopecia destroys hair follicles of human beings and replaces them with scar tissue.  The scar tissue which is replaced by Scarring Alopecia disorder causes permanent hair loss. Sometimes Scarring Alopecia cause gradual hair loss and no symptoms are apparent for long period of time.  In some cases, causes of Scarring Alopecia are linked with burning, severe itching and rapidly progressive pain. Generally the inflammation affects folic below the surface of skin so, on above skin surface the inflammation is not visible.

Sometimes the affected region of the scalp shows no sign of inflammation and sometimes it only has scaling and redness. There is also chance for increasing and decreasing in pigmentation. Apart from these symptoms pustules and dry sinuses are other symptoms. Scarring Alopecia can affect both men and women irrespective of their ages.  The Scarring Alopecia can be of two types: primary and secondary Scarring Alopecia. In primary Scarring Alopecia hair follicles are the main objective of the inflammatory process. Secondary Scarring Alopecia occurs when the end of hair follicles are incidental to external injuries like tumors, radiation and severe infections. Nowadays, several treatments are available for Scarring Alopecia.
