What are the Symptoms of Alopecia? |
The most identifiable symptom of Alopecia is sudden hair loss. In this disease, the hair on the scalp most commonly falls out in small and round patches measuring one quarter. Among a few people, this disorder may manifest in form of slight bare patches, whereas in few, this condition can cause absolute loss of hair on the scalp. In severe cases, it can lead to the complete loss of hair on the hairy regions of the body, especially, face and head. This means that in uncommon cases, people experience unusual loss of hair on the eyebrows, eyelashes, armpits and legs. This makes the person more susceptible to environmental irritants, germs, dust and other foreign particles invading into the nose, ears and eyes. |
