Lupus is a complex autoimmune disease which has no proper cure. Since the origin of the disease is still not known, it is very difficult for the scientist to find an effective cure. Scientists believe that lupus is mostly inherited from family members. It is widely believed that this is caused by a combination of environmental and genetic factors. The environmental factors that help the disease to multiply are viral and bacterial infections, ultraviolet rays, stress, certain medications and improper diet.

Thus lupus is a disease which is not curable. If a person is suffering from lupus diseases then he can follow one of the several treatments. Firstly adequate emotional and physical rest needs to taken. Inadequate rest will increase the growth of the disease. Secondly one needs to avoid exposure to direct sunlight as ultraviolet rays worsen the patient’s condition. Thirdly one should follow a healthy diet. Fourthly people should avoid known aggravating and allergens factors. Fifthly until the symptoms of the disease are remarkably reduced female should not plan their pregnancy. Sixthly non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) can be used to control the symptoms. Finally anti-malarial drugs, corticosteroids, and cytotoxic drugs are also very effective in fighting lupus diseases.
