Why does Hair Loss Occur? |
There are many causes which contribute in the problem of hair loss. Here’s the information:
Hormonal Changes: Changes in hormones leads to hair loss. This affects both men and women. It starts from thinning of hair and finally there is hair loss. Even child birth is the reason which causes many hormonal changes in the body and thus leads to hair loss.
Autoimmune Diseases: Some of the autoimmune diseases and the medications thereof are responsible for hair loss. One of the most common autoimmune disorders Alopecia Areata causes the white blood corpuscles to rebel with the follicles of hair. This results into temporary hair loss.
Stress and Tension: This is also an important cause for hair loss and leads to temporary hair loss for a certain period of time from the tress event.
Medications and Treatments: According to the studies, certain prescription drugs can impact hair loss. Some of the drugs which are meant to combat cholesterol and high blood pressure contribute in hair loss. Chemotherapy and radiation are the treatments which also cause hair loss. However, after these treatments hair again grows within 6-8 months.
Toxins and Pollution: We are surrounded by toxic substances and chemicals due to pollution. Inhaling these toxic substances and chemicals can affect the immune system and thus lead to hair loss.
