Estrogen hormone is used for treating several kinds of disorders in human body. Hot flushes are a kind of disorder in women where the women suffer from severe heat and sweat and these occur at the time of menopause. You can start with oral estrogen tablet which is usually taken twice or thrice depending on the type of disorder. But excessive estrogen intake can lead to side effects such as: unexpected gain or loss in weight, cramps in the legs, itching sensation, hair loss from the legs or arms. Estrogen can also increase the risk of developing cancer of ovaries which can only be treated by surgery.
