How Does DHT Work For Hair Loss?

The full form of DHT is Dihydrotestosterone which is produced from the testosterone also considered as male hormone. Baldness is not totally inherited or genetic in nature. Some individuals have hair follicles which are sensitive to DHT that runs throughout the blood. Even though DHT is a male hormone but some women also have small amount of it still running in the blood stream.

If the hair follicles of the women are sensitive to DHT their hair starts dropping off. When person inherits the genes for hair loss from his parents their hair follicle are also sensitive to DHT. Even when the hair are grown again by using three growths cycle that comes are thinner and contains less pigmentation. This is also one reason which says why some people have thin hair and the color of the hair changes as the person ages. There are several medications available in the market to help protect the hairs which are sensitive to the DHT. If there is excess of estrogen produced in the liver then it can raise the production of the DHT. So it is important that liver must function properly so as to remove all the toxins from it so as to reduce the production of estrogen.
